During the last 52 years, alongside the core business of the Company as construction contractors, the Company has also ventured into development projects when an appropriate opportunity has arisen.

In the recent past the 2 projects carried out by the Company as developers are as follows:

Low cost housing project at Goregaon on behalf of the Charitable Trust Nagari Nivara Parishad comprising of over 4000 tenements in buildings of ground + 3 storeys each and 1500 tenements in buildings of ground + 7 storey, all units of approximately 40 sq. mtrs.

A Commercial building known as “Devashish” at Lower Parel in the Matulya Mills Compound. The building has RCC framed structure with raft foundation, a basement, ground floor and 5 typical upper floors. This project witnessed the pioneering installation in India of tilt and turn double glazed hermetically sealed heavy duty aluminum windows with PVDF coating.

Presently the Company sees considerable scope to enter into the construction of mass housing schemes in what is popularly referred to as the “affordable housing” segment. Leveraging its ability to carry out mass housing projects rapidly and to a very high quality standard, the Company sees a huge opportunity in the demand in this segment. The Company has entered into a JV with Mahindra Lifespace Developers Limited to undertake development of approximately 1.50m sft on a 25 acre plot at the MIHAN SEZ in Nagpur and is in the process of acquiring land for low cost housing at Lohegaon near Pune for development of affordable housing near Pune.
